Cluster Board meetings
How has the Primary Care Trust Board Changed?
3 May 2011 saw the establishment of the Greater Manchester PCT cluster (referred to as NHS Greater Manchester). A cluster (or joint) board has been established, which has taken on the statutory functions of each of the ten PCTs across Greater Manchester.
The previous individual Primary Care Trust Board meetings will now be replaced by Locality Boards and details of these meetings are available here.
What does this mean for me?
The new Cluster Board will meet in public and you will be able to attend them as you would have done your local Primary Care Trust Board meeting. The Greater Manchester Cluster Board is accountable for the business of each of the previous ten Primary Care Trusts.

IMPORTANT NOTE – The public part of the meeting on 7 June contains 2 technical items, relating to the establishment of the Cluster Board and the process for approving annual accounts. This is expected to last for only 15 minutes. The first “full” meeting of the NHS Greater Manchester Board will take place on 9 June.
Members of the Cluster Board are accountable for the statutory functions of the PCTs across Greater Manchester, (meaning that Cluster Board Directors are members of the Boards of all ten organisations).
Locality Boards are in place in all ten PCT areas.
